In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally on both small-scale and large-scale geotechnical projects.</span></span></p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li><span style=""><span style="">Perform complex analyses, structural design of pile elements and underpinning systems, and special engineering inspections;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Prepare technical documents and manages the preparation of the proposals, reports, construction documents, and construction-related correspondence associated with the projects managed;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Supervise field investigations, and conventional earthwork and foundation construction activities;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Plan, schedule and develop task and project budgets. Prepare progress reports, draft change orders, draft invoices, and project billings; and</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Perform other duties as requested.</span></span></li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Qualifications</H2> </div><div><ul> <li><span style=""><span style="">Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; Master’s degree with Geotechnical emphasis;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Professional Engineer licensure;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">A minimum of 10 years of related Geotechnical experience; Public Utility experience is desired; minimum of 3 years of field experience with geotechnical investigations and construction observation experience including: mass grading, deep foundations, subgrade for footings, ground improvement, and excavation support including tieback/tiedown/soil nail installation and testing;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">FEM analysis is preferred but not required;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Trenchless utility installation design experience, such as HDD, is preferred but not required;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Excellent written and verbal communication skills;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multi-tasking, and judgment capabilities;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Possession of a strong technical education, practical field experience, professional demeanor, and desire to learn;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends; and</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Possess reliable transportation to access job sites or attend client meetings and a valid driver's license.</span></span></li> </ul> </div></div></div><p style="text-align:justify"><span style=""><span style="">Langan provides a rich array of programs and benefits to help its employees advance their careers and enhance the quality of their lives. The estimated range for this role is: $112,500- $171,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.</span></span></p>
