This individual will serve a key function by supporting environmental and cultural resource project managers in conducting an array of both field and desktop tasks. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of top-notch professionals in a variety of geographic areas and regulatory programs, and to collaborate and learn from our multi-disciplinary team of cultural resource, biology, site/civil, geotechnical, survey, and landscape architect professionals on a wide breadth of projects. Langan is committed to providing opportunities for technicians of all levels to gain experience and expand their skill set while being fairly compensated. </span></span></p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li><span style=""><span style="">Pedestrian survey; </span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Background research at historical societies, museums, and/or repositories; </span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Resource recordation and documentation; </span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Subsurface absence/presence testing; </span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Data recovery excavation; </span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Construction monitoring; </span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Conducting records searches; </span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Laboratory analysis, cataloging and organization; </span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Technical writing; </span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Timely and accurate completion of work logs; </span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Assemble and maintain field equipment and systems; inspect equipment and troubleshoot as necessary; and </span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Perform other duties as requested. </span></span></li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Qualifications</H2> </div><div><ul> <li><span style=""><span style="">Associate’s, Bachelor&apos;s or Master&apos;s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or related field. Individuals with a High School diploma or equivalent will be considered for certain tasks based on individual experience;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Proficiency in Microsoft, Adobe, Nuance, Word, SharePoint;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Strong attention to detail;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Ability to multi-task effectively;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Excellent analytical/judgment capabilities;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Ability to work well individually and in groups;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Strong written/verbal communication skills; and</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Valid driver’s license in good standing.</span></span></li> </ul> <p><span style=""><span style=""><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span style=""><span style="">Authorized to perform work on BLM and state lands;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Authorized access to the Utah archaeological records;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">An understanding and practical experience with NHPA, ARPA, NAGPRA, related state and local regulations/guidelines;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">HAZWOPER Certification, respirator fit test;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">3+ years’ prior related experience;</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD; and</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Ability to travel and spend most/all of the workday on-site.</span></span></li> </ul> </div></div></div><p style="text-align:justify"><span style=""><span style="">Langan provides a rich array of programs and benefits to help its employees advance their careers and enhance the quality of their lives.
