Here's how a(n) Field Engineer for our Arizona Industrial office contributes to our team:<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Mentors and leads inspections and orientations, identifies hazards and corrections, and leads by example for health and safety practices and procedures. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Coordinates with superintendent on workforce planning. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Maintains project document control and procedures. Supports project engineers and/or superintendents to lead trade contractors, including requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, changes, and billings. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Participates in the supervision of self-perform scopes, including resolving crew sizes, labor tracking, and quantity tracking for Labor Cost Reports (LCRs). </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Mentors and coaches field engineers and students/interns). </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Identifies issues on-site or in defined work scopes. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Coordinates third-party inspections and site reviews. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Participates in crafting, implementing, and supervising quality plan, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP). </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Develop and maintains positive relationships focusing on all partners. </li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Qualifications</H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Associates or bachelor’s degree in a related field: construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">0 to 8-12 months of varied experience as field engineer/coordinator preferred; time acquired during internships in the field may count as experience. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Knowledge of construction specifications, and methods and procedures (e.g., formwork methodologies, self-perform work, subcontracted work scopes, temporary work, equipment, and scheduling techniques). </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Understands and applies construction principles to problem solve. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Effective verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors, and reports. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Proven track record to work in a fast-paced environment. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Writes clear technical communication to trade contractors, designers and inspectors. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Develops and maintains effective partner relationships. </li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Proficient Microsoft Office Suite and construction related software.</li> </ul></div></div></div>PCL is an innovative, employee-owned company comprised of people who find passion in their profession and take pride in doing great work every day.
