As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth. </p> <p><br>We are seeking a <strong>Solar Design </strong><strong>Student</strong>, for our Solar District that is available for<strong> 4-16 months</strong> starting <strong>September 2026</strong>. </p> <p><br>As a <strong>Solar Design </strong><strong>Student</strong> and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by: </p> </div> <div> <div> </div> </div><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><div> <div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Reviews RFP documentation for key design requirements</li> <li>Designs, reviews and/or validates solar facility layouts relative to RFP documents using/creating plans, specifications, and other information</li> <li>Calculates energy losses for designs</li> <li>Prepares/draws detailed site layouts using electrical single line diagrams using AutoCAD</li> <li>Supports estimating with quantity takeoffs and preconstruction efforts (e.g. design coordination, constructability review, project planning)</li> <li>Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues</li> <li>Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders</li> <li>Assist with developing energy production models to support project feasibility and performance analysis</li> <li>Support earthwork quantity estimation and assist project teams with material take‑offs, quantity optimization, and pricing compilation and recap</li> <li>Facilitate communication and collaboration between project stakeholders by supporting RFIs and submittals through PM4+</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a design function</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Superior attention to detail</li> <li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Application of various computer software programs will be required, including AutoCAD, word processing, and spreadsheet applications (Excel)</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Next Step:</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Please note that candidates who have been selected to move forward to the next stage of the recruitment process will receive an email to complete a short online video interview.</li> </ul></div></div></div><p>The estimated salary range for this role is $21.37- $31.34, based on your experience and qualifications.
