As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are seeking <strong>Surveying Students</strong> for our Toronto district, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for <strong>4 or 8 months starting September 2026.</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>As a <strong>Surveying Student</strong> and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:</p> </div> <div> <div> <div> <h2><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></h2> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Contributes to day-to-day layout and grading tasks</li> <li>Helps monitor quality control in compliance with contract documents</li> <li>Assists in managing surveying for project layout and conformance</li> <li>Marks and labels survey points and record field data according to job specifications</li> <li>Participates in creating and maintaining survey models</li> <li>Understands coordinate systems, scale factors, design requirements and engineered forming systems</li> <li>Assists in creating survey notes and recording field data</li> </ul> <p> </p> </div> </div> <div> <div> <h2><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Qu</strong><strong>alifications</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment</span></li> <li>Understanding basic surveying principles with a practical approach</li> <li>Familiar with construction plans such as structural, architectural and shop drawings</li> <li>Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)</li> <li>Student must be in a recognized drafting, architectural, engineering or construction management program</li> <li>Experience with operating total stations and survey equipment/GPS for layout and as-built purposes</li> </ul> <p> </p> </div> <div> <div id="footerContent"> <p><strong>Next Step:</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Please note that candidates who have been selected to move forward to the next stage of the recruitment process will receive an email to complete a short online video interview</li> </ul> <p> </p> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div><div></div><p>The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37- $31.33, based on your experience and qualifications.
