As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are seeking a<strong> Building Envelope Student </strong>for our<strong> Toronto District,</strong> within our Canadian Buildings Division who is available for <strong>4 month or 8 months starting September 2026.</strong> </p> <p> </p> <p>Here’s how a<strong> Building Envelope Student</strong> in our Toronto office contributes to the team:</p> <p> </p> </div> <div> <div> <div> <h2><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></h2> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Reviews design documents to identify potential building envelope performance issues</li> <li>Participates in the review of project submittals</li> <li>Participates in project meetings and first installation reviews</li> <li>Completes plant reviews, site reviews and/or deficiency walks</li> <li>Attends laboratory and field testing</li> <li>Assists with the development of remedial strategies for building envelope issues encountered by meeting with manufacturers, marking up details, and working collaboratively with the team members</li> <li>Prepares site review reports</li> <li>Contributes to the preparation of internal quality documents</li> <li>Promotes and coordinate building envelope events with external experts</li> <li>Meets with product suppliers to evaluate and obtain information on building envelope materials</li> <li>Supports developing building envelope training material</li> </ul> <p> </p> </div> </div> <div> <div> <h2><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></h2> </div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Candidates must have taken a building envelope or building science course, and understand the fundamental control layers required within the building envelope (i.e. air, water, vapour and thermal control)</li> <li>Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment, able to read architectural drawings, and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.</li> <li>Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.</li> </ul> <p> </p> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div><div></div><div> <div> <div> <div id="footerContent"> <p><strong>Next Step:</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Please note that candidates who have been selected to move forward to the next stage of the recruitment process will receive an email to complete a short online video interview.</li> </ul> <p> </p> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div id="footerContent"> <p>The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37- $31.33, based on your experience and qualifications.
