<p>The Japan Research Institute (JRI) Limited is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Group. JRI provides comprehensive, highly value-added information services through the coordinated application of its 3 functions. i.e. information systems, consulting and think-tank. As a system integrator, JRI offers services in IT strategy planning, implementation and outsourcing to a broad range of industries and activities. JRI Singapore currently supports the overall IT functions of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in Asia Pacific Region.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Lead IT projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery within defined scope, budget, and timelines.</li> <li>Align project objectives with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors.</li> <li>Manage the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, training, documentation, implementation, and post-deployment support.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with delivery methodologies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.</li> <li>Monitor project progress, manage risks and dependencies, and implement effective mitigation strategies.</li> <li>Provide clear, timely, and accurate updates to senior management and stakeholders.</li> <li>Oversee vendor relationships to ensure accountability, quality deliverables, and effective contract negotiation.</li> <li>Mentor and guide project managers, fostering a culture of excellence and strong leadership across delivery teams.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Minimum of 10 years of IT project management experience within the financial services industry.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, compliance frameworks, and both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams with proven leadership and influencing skills.</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and drive consensus.</li> <li>Proven experience in vendor management, with a focus on negotiation and ensuring quality deliverables.</li> <li>Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications strongly preferred.</li> <li>Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization and manage competing priorities.</li> <li>Strong decision-making capability supported by sound analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> </ul>
