How you will make an Impact (Job Summary) SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Senior Software System Engineer you will actively participate in the development of radio frequency signal acquisition, geolocation and analysis systems used for Signal Monitoring, Communications Intelligence, and Counter-UAS purposes. This person will apply their strong radio frequency and signal processing background, and software development skills to meeting signal detection, identification, processing, geolocation and analysis challenges facing spectrum regulators, intelligence organizations and defense agencies around the globe. Specifically, this person will develop software to implement architectures using TCI’s existing technical base along with new development work that will satisfy both customer specific and market generic requirements. Duties will include providing technical assistance to other engineering departments, customers and to the marketing and sales department. What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities) While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be but not limited to: <ol> <li>Develop a deep understanding of TCI’s COMINT/EW and Counter-UAS products, underlying technology and implementation, and become a key contributor to architecting and implementing new products and product improvements.</li> <li>Modify existing software and develop new software to implement improvements or add new features to our systems. </li> <li>Specify, test and qualify new and replacement system hardware components, including computers and drives.</li> <li>Perform QA testing and analysis of new hardware and software performance up to the system level. Develop automated QA test software and systems.</li> <li>Create and modify software installation programs to support product updates and new products.</li> <li>Develop and modify product documentation as needed.</li> <li>Support other engineering groups by becoming a “go to” expert on the functionality and performance of our products. As required by law in this state, the quoted salary range for this position is $165,200 - $300,000 and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors.
