This role requires a hands-on planner who can execute within and continuously improve the MRP system and data structures that drive planning outcomes.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="">This role directly impacts:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="">On-time delivery to customers</span></li> <li><span style="">Inventory optimization and working capital efficiency</span></li> <li><span style="">Production stability and capacity utilization</span></li> <li><span style="">Cross-functional visibility into shortages and risks</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="">The Master Planner will act as the central point of coordination for material planning, supporting resolution of risks, shortages, and ensuring the organization is positioned to meet both short-term and long-term demand.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="">What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)</span></strong></p> <p><span style="">While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="">Execute the master production and material planning process for TCI</span></li> <li><span style="">Develop and maintain accurate supply and demand plans based on forecasts, orders, and inventory levels</span></li> <li><span style="">Run and manage weekly shortage reports; identify gaps and support resolution with purchasing and sourcing teams</span></li> <li><span style="">Coordinate closely with procurement to ensure timely material availability and expedite critical components</span></li> <li><span style="">Collaborate with engineering on BOM accuracy, revisions, and new product introductions</span></li> <li><span style="">Align with operations on production schedules, capacity constraints, and priorities</span></li> <li><span style="">Monitor key planning metrics (OTD, inventory levels, lead times, shortages) and drive continuous improvement</span></li> <li><span style="">Identify planning system gaps and support system improvements in reporting, automation, and system capabilities</span></li> <li><span style="">Collaborate with teams to communicate planning status and potential issues</span></li> <li><span style="">Support the configuration and maintenance of MRP and planning systems, ensuring data accuracy and reliable outputs</span></li> <li><span style="">Maintain and improve planning data accuracy (BOMs, lead times, order policies, demand signals) as a foundation for system performance</span></li> <li><span style="">Support S&OP / demand planning processes as needed</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="">What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)</span></strong></p> <p><span style="">We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:</span></p> <p><strong><span style="">Required Experience</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="">5+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, or operations in a manufacturing environment, preferably high-mix, low-volume and/or project-based</span></li> <li><span style="">Proven experience in production planning, material planning, or master scheduling</span></li> <li><span style="">Experience working cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, and operations</span></li> <li><span style="">Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing MRP/ERP systems (planning parameters, item attributes, lead times, lot sizing, etc.) to support accurate planning</span></li> <li><span style="">Experience participating in UAT and system rollout to validate MRP outputs and ensure planning processes align with operational requirements</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="">Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="">Knowledge of BOM structures and engineering change processes</span></li> <li><span style="">Understanding of supplier lead times and procurement processes</span></li> <li><span style="">Familiarity with manufacturing operations and production workflows</span></li> <li><span style="">Working knowledge of Oracle ERP planning and reporting functionality</span></li> <li><span style="">Excellent organizational and time management skills</span></li> <li><span style="">Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</span></li> <li><span style="">Strong communication and stakeholder management skills</span></li> <li><span style="">Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, reporting)</span></li> <li><span style="">Proficiency in planning, reporting, and data analysis using Oracle EBS 11i with working knowledge of Oracle Fusion</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="">Education & Certifications</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="">Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (preferred)</span></li> <li><span style="">APICS / CPIM certification is a plus</span></li> <li><span style="">Travel & Working Environment</span></li> <li><span style="">Primarily office-based with regular interaction on the production floor</span></li> <li><span style="">Fast-paced, cross-functional environment requiring frequent collaboration</span></li> <li><span style="">High visibility role with direct impact on operational performance and customer satisfaction</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><span style="">The compensation information that follows is a reasonable estimate for the position and is provided pursuant to legal requirements in this state. The salary estimate provided represents the typical salary range for the position, and other factors may be used to determine the successful candidate’s actual salary, including: skill set, experience, training, education, organizational needs, internal equity, market data, and geographic zone. The estimated salary range for this position is: $92,800 - $117,000. At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus plan, subject to the rules governing the plan.
