The Role
Are you passionate about conceptualizing, nurturing, developing, and proving new ideas and developing them into new solutions? Would you like to help re-invent the internal business processes with the latest technologies and re-imagine the way things operate?
We’re looking for a seasoned individual to drive game-changing innovation within Visa’s internal processes and ecosystem. You should have experience technically leading and mentoring multi-skilled teams capable of rapid prototyping of new ideas as well as scale these to commercial solutions. You and your team will be at the forefront of strategic partnerships, breakthrough technologies, new ideas, hackathons, demos, and rapid prototyping. You will work closely with business development teams, partners, and internal product teams and cross- leverage engineering talent internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Be at the heart of developing new ideas into demo-able products, and ultimately to commercial productWork directly with product owners, UX, engineering and other partner teams to gather and refine requirements across products, adding and taking into account existing tools and solutions across the organizationDrive rapid prototyping cycles from technical requirements, software designs, programming, debugging, and optimizationExplore and innovate new technologies, features, and toolsConsult on a regular basis with leadership to align expectations and deliverablesBe scrappy and work with the small team to the fullest to work on multiple parallel POCs and incubation effortsAble to scale the successful pilots to full commercial solutionsDevelop and design advanced architect solutions that are robust and scalable, considering integrations with other solutions across the internal technical ecosystem.Use stubs as needed to simulate capabilities lighting up soonWork collaboratively across team boundaries to share common infrastructure and functional capabilities. Provide feedback into core product teams to influence their roadmap and strategyLeverage AI technologies as-appropriate in day-2-day development and in production systemsProvide domain expertise on the development of technical documentation of solutions and contributes to standard processes in technical documentation as neededPlay a key role in the development and delivery of new features across products from end-to-endThis is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
10 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhDPassion for innovation, new ideas, quick prototyping, hackathons etc.Prior work exploring and innovating new IP, genres, and product experiencesProfessional experience in ideation and incubation which has led to shipping productsMulti-disciplinary skills and experience in ideation, software design, programming, debugging, and optimizationProven skill set and track record in developing one-line ideas into productsStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated and drive for excellenceHave an open-minded approach to development strategy and approachesCapable of building culture for innovationTechnical hands-on skills, ideally in multiple technology stacks for web development, APIs and Mobile application development on diverse platformsHands-on and up to date with Gen AI and Agentic AI technologies and space10+ years of software engineering experience 2+ years of experience in technical leadership roles with increasing responsibilityMS or BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Bonus Qualifications:
Prior experience working with Agentic AI systems.
Prior experience working in a start-up or at VC firms in a “Resident Entrepreneur” capacity
Financial services and/or payments processing industry experience is a plus
