Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintech's, payment enablers and governments.
The Intelligence & Data Solutions (IDS) team at VCA consists of data scientists, analysts, and engineers who provide analytics solutions. Their goal is to leverage VisaNet, one of the largest datasets globally, to help clients enhance their performance and increase profitability.
Specific Responsibilities include:
Analyze data using statistical software (e.g., Python, R)Extract and aggregate data from large sets using SQL, Hive, Spark and other toolsDeploy and support predictive modeling packages and monitor and calibrate production modelsSolve problems with innovative data science techniquesCollaborate with data science colleagues and other Visa teams to provide insights to clients.Automate and create repeatable analyses or self-service toolsEnsure timely project delivery to meet business needsPromote data innovations and analytics education within VisaOptimize code for critical business processesDesign and develop dashboards using software like Tableau or Power BICommunicate complex concepts clearly and effectivelyThis is a hybrid position. This requires 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) attendance in the Madrid office.
Basic Qualifications:
2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)Background in machine learning, AI, scalable systems, and large-scale data analysisExperience with advanced data science techniques and tools (Python, Spark, TensorFlow, etc.)Experience with SQL and Hive for data extraction and aggregationGood communication skills and attention to detailTeam player capable of multitasking in a dynamic environmentExperience working in the payments industry (bank, credit reference agencies, Fintech, merchants) or management consulting firm.
