With Metrobank, a meaningful life is within your reach!</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Position Title: </strong> Collections Associate (Midrange)</p> <p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>The jobholder performs collection activities for mid-range (30–59 days) past due accounts. He/She is responsible for achieving set targets, meeting team standards, and complying with policies and procedures.</li> <li>The position also assists the Collection Officer in monitoring the performance of external collection agencies through coordination, planning, and organizing to meet targets.</li> <li>He/She may also assist in motivating, monitoring, and disseminating information to the team.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Specific Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li><strong>Control delinquency of Mid-Range accounts</strong></li> </ul> <p>Conduct telephone calls to follow up payments from delinquent cardholders</p> <p>Obtain additional information on delinquent accounts from Metrobank group and other sources</p> <p>Negotiate restructuring of delinquent accounts</p> <p>Evaluate payment proposals beyond guidelines and recommend approval/disapproval</p> <p>Assist collection agencies on payment inquiries, client information, and payment computations</p> <ul type="disc"> <li><strong>Minimize risk and credit losses</strong></li> </ul> <p>Detect and block fraudulent accounts early and report to supervisor</p> <p>Block delinquent accounts to prevent further exposure</p> <p>Recommend accounts for early referral to collection agencies</p> <ul> <li><strong>Address customer issues</strong></li> </ul> <p>Process requests for updates (billing address, contact info) and forward to Collections Back Office</p> <p>Refer complaints such as: (Unposted/misposted payments, Incorrect transactions, Late/non-receipt of SOA, Failed debit arrangements, Fee reversals, Disputed transactions, Evaluate and recommend approval/disapproval of waiver requests</p> <ul> <li><strong>Perform other functions</strong></li> </ul> <p>Perform additional duties/projects such as:</p> <p>(BORC, BCP, Cost Champion, Corporate Correspondent, Line Trainer, e-Champ)</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree holder; preferably graduate of a business course</li> <li>Experience in banking or credit card collections is an advantage</li> <li>Good oral and written communication</li> <li>Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint</li> <li>Willing to work overtime (including weekends/holidays)</li> <li>Willing to work on shifting schedules</li> <li>Willing to work onsite 100%</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Other Details:</strong></p> <p><strong>Rank:</strong> Rank and File</p> <p><strong>Unit:</strong> Consumer Business Sector / Credit Operations Group / Collections and Recoveries Division</p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Pasay City</p>
