<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Role Summary</b></H2> </div><div><p> </p> <p>The AFP Reserve aims to build and maintain an experienced workforce, drawing on the extensive operational and corporate expertise of our former members (policing, protective service officer and professional/unsworn) to enhance the capability and effectiveness of the AFP.</p> <p>The AFP Reserve provides an opportunity for former members to re-engage with the AFP, and existing members seeking to transition to retirement (or resignation), to continue fulfilling their sense of public duty and commitment to the Australian community.</p> <p> </p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What is the role?</b></H2> </div><div><p> </p> <p>AFP Reserves are engaged on a casual basis and perform duties for short periods providing professional unsworn support delivering against key AFP priorities.</p> <p>AFP Reserves perform various duties which are vital to our frontline operations. These include roles across a range of portfolios in several AFP areas including </p> <ul> <li>ACT Policing</li> <li>National AFP</li> <li>Regional Commands</li> </ul> <p> - Central<br> - Eastern<br> - Northern<br> - Southern<br> - Western</p> <p> </p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What will you do?</b></H2> </div><div><p> </p> <p>Reserve members are given opportunities to provide support in multiple and diverse roles performing a range of duties including, but not limited to: </p> <ul> <li>Executive support</li> <li>Human Resources</li> <li>Police Station support</li> <li>Investigation support</li> <li>Training delivery, updates & development</li> <li>Establishing and refining governance processes</li> <li>Mentoring and training to members</li> <li>Personal security vetting</li> <li>Ceremonial and Protocol Officer duties</li> <li>Assisting with planning designated special events</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>Please note:</b> AFP Reserves when undertaking a placement as a Ceremonial and Protocol Officer (CAPO), will be sworn in to allow them to wear an AFP uniform only. Business areas within the AFP may also require additional qualifications for placements. </p> <p> </p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Terms and Conditions including salary information</b></H2> </div><div><p> </p> <p>AFP Reserves are engaged as casual employees of the AFP.
