<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p><strong>Strategic Leadership, Account Management & Team Management</strong></p> <p>Act as the primary senior contact for the project<br>Take full ownership of client account performance, including revenue growth, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.<br>Lead regular client governance meetings, service reviews, and strategic planning sessions.<br>Build trusted advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders.</p> <p><strong>Team Leadership & Line Management</strong></p> <p>Provide direct line management to engineers delivering maintenance and support services on key client accounts.<br>Oversee day-to-day performance, workload planning, and development of subcontractor resources.<br>Manage and mentor Project Supervisor’s, supporting their development in project delivery, commercial awareness, and client engagement.<br>Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and support career development plans.<br>Ensure appropriate resourcing across both project delivery and maintenance activities.<br>Foster a high-performance, safety-first, and client-focused team culture.</p> <p><strong>Solution Design & Bid Leadership</strong></p> <p>Provide senior oversight and direction for technical solution design across structured cabling projects.<br>Review and approve complex designs, cost models, and bid submissions.<br>Lead strategic bids and high-value tenders, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals.<br>Support commercial negotiations and client presentations.</p> <p><strong>Project & Programme Delivery</strong></p> <p>Provide senior leadership across multiple concurrent projects and programmes.<br>Oversee project managers and delivery teams to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.<br>Ensure all projects are delivered Safely, On time, Within budget and In line with contractual and technical requirements<br>Manage complex, high-risk, or high-value projects directly where required.<br>Drive continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies and standards.<br>Ensure robust handover into support/maintenance phases where applicable.</p> <p><strong>Financial & Commercial Management</strong></p> <p>Hold full P&L responsibility across projects and managed accounts.<br>Manage revenue forecasting, budgeting, and margin performance.<br>Oversee commercial governance including:<br>Contract compliance<br>Variations and change control<br>Risk and opportunity management<br>Drive profitability across both project and service delivery streams.<br>Lead final account negotiations and ensure effective cash flow management.</p> <p><strong>Pre-Requisites & Experience</strong></p> <p>Minimum 10 years’ experience within the structured cabling industry.<br>Proven experience in a senior project or programme management role.<br>Demonstrable experience managing large-scale, multi-site projects.<br>Proven experience in line management and team leadership, including engineers and junior project staff.<br>Strong background in account management and service delivery contracts.</p> <p><strong>Key Skills & Competencies</strong></p> <p>Strong strategic and commercial acumen<br>Advanced client relationship and account management skills<br>Proven people management and leadership capability<br>Excellent negotiation and influencing skills<br>Ability to manage complex programmes and multiple stakeholders<br>Strong analytical and problem-solving capability<br>High standards of governance, reporting, and documentation<br>Proficient in Microsoft Office & project management software</p> <p><strong>Personal Attributes</strong></p> <p>Leadership-oriented and decisive<br>Client-centric and commercially driven<br>Highly organised and results-focused<br>Adaptable in complex, fast-paced environments<br>Strong communicator at all organisational levels<br>Committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence</p> <p> </p>
