About this role
<p><strong>Your role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>To be responsible for sourcing activity including the preparation of RFQ/ RFP documents, evaluation of offer/ proposals, vendor selection and management, pricing and contract negotiation, etc.</li> <li>To ensure sources of supply are established by competitive means as appropriate.</li> <li>To negotiate with suppliers for better terms and conditions in the supply of goods and services.</li> <li>To analyze and prepare commercial evaluation offers.</li> <li>To ensure purchase orders are placed to approved suppliers or appropriate sources.</li> <li>To communicate and work closely with relevant business units to understand their requirements.</li> <li>To expediate delivery of goods and deal with delivery/ quality discrepancies. </li> <li>Candidates with more experience might be considered for the post of Purchasing Officer.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>To succeed in this role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Holder of Associate Degree or Degree holder in a relevant discipline.</li> <li>1-2 years’ purchasing experience in a sizable organization.</li> <li>Prior experience in IT & T procurement an advantage.</li> <li>Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).</li> <li>Strong analytical, and negotiation and communication skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in PC application including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.</li> <li>Self-motivation, ability to work in teams and under pressure, and meeting tight deadline.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>If you have the desire for an exciting and rewarding career, please apply by sending your resume immediately, quoting your present and expected salary by clicking "Apply Now" or email to <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a></p> <p> </p> <p>For more information on other job opportunities of PCCW/HKT Corporate Functions, please visit our website.
