<p><strong>Senior Manager, Data Engineering</strong></p> <p>We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering leader to shape our enterprise data strategy, accelerate cloud transformation, and unlock advanced analytics capabilities. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership to drive innovation and foster cross-functional collaboration across business and technology teams</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Job responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead the design and implementation of scalable, automated data pipelines and platforms to support evolving business needs and accelerate insight delivery.</p> </li> <li> <p>Drive cloud migration initiatives, ensuring successful transition of legacy systems to modern cloud environments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Optimize data infrastructure for cost efficiency, reliability, and performance, including software license and server cost savings.</p> </li> <li> <p>Establish and enforce best practices in data engineering, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.</p> </li> <li> <p>Drive strategic data acquisition initiatives in emerging business areas, ensuring the timely availability of high-quality data to enable actionable insights that maximize customer experience and revenue growth.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with analytics, marketing, sales, IT, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Promote data quality, governance, and security measures across all data processes.</p> </li> <li> <p>Monitor and optimize system performance and scalability, proactively addressing bottlenecks and implementing predictive maintenance strategies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Explore and implement innovative tools, including AI-driven solutions, to enhance operational efficiency and accelerate migration projects.</p> </li> <li> <p>Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their applicability to improve data engineering capabilities.</p> </li> <li> <p>Mentor and develop team members, fostering engagement, technical growth, and leadership capabilities.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>The Person:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant disciplines.</p> </li> <li> <p>Minimum 8 years of experience in data engineering or analytics, with at least 3 years at supervisory and/or managerial role.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proven expertise in designing and managing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data platforms (data lakes/warehouses).</p> </li> <li> <p>Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and migration projects (AWS, Azure, or GCP).</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala, with advanced SQL proficiency and familiarity with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark).</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience implementing data security, governance, and compliance measures aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.</p> </li> <li> <p>Track record of driving innovation through new tools or technologies, including AI-based solutions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team development skills.</p> </li> </ul>
