The Opportunity Our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice is one of the fastest growing areas of our business. As a result, we have a recruitment need for a Senior to join our team to support on services related to accounting projects in the public and private sector. Your key responsibilities <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">In this role, you’ll work directly with a diverse range of clients across various industries to assess the impact of new accounting standards, proposed transactions, or other regulatory changes. Specifically, you will:</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Build and maintain strong networks internally and externally</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Report directly to Managers, Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners during the planning, execution, and wrap-up stages of FAAS engagements.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Provide accounting advisory services to guarantee compliance with IFRS and IPSAS standards.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Assist clients in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring they meet IFRS and IPSAS requirements.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Provide guidance on the adoption of new accounting standards and the impact on financial reporting.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Collaborate with clients to streamline their accounting processes and improve overall efficiency in financial reporting.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Consult with appropriate resources on complex accounting issues, ensuring that FAAS work products meet client needs, are clear, accurate, and well-presented.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial accounting and reporting.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Ensure that work is of high quality, delivered in a timely fashion, and in compliance with EY policies.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Work with other EY locations, service lines, and specialists to deliver a fully integrated service offering.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Identify and communicate relevant trends, developments, and key performance drivers relevant to the client.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Deliver effective execution of the FAAS service delivery framework, including supporting major transactions with strategic insights and financial advisory expertise.</li> </ul> Skills and attributes for success Pro- activity, accountability and results- driven people will flourish in this environment. To qualify for the role, you must have <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Professional qualification required (CPA, CMA).</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, specifically in providing accounting support, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and/or IPSAS standards.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Previous experience in a Big Four accounting firm is highly desirable.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Previous experience in Saudi Arabia is highly desirable</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Strong knowledge of IFRS and IPSAS standards.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Strong technical skills and recognized cautious risk management ability</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Solid team working skills with the ability to work with different people from diverse backgrounds in the diverse FAAS team</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Ability and comfort level in researching client inquires and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, as necessary</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Keen to develop technical and other attributes of assigned team members</li> </ul> What we look for We are interested in entrepreneurs who have the confidence to develop and promote a brand new strategic vision both internally and externally.
