About the Role We are seeking a talented lawyer with 2 to 4 years’ PQE to join our rapidly growing Brisbane Construction practice in a contentious/back-end role. This role offers a rare opportunity to work directly with experienced partners on complex and high-value construction disputes, while also being given the space, responsibility and support to build your own practice and develop into a senior member of the team. Our Construction team has a long-standing reputation as a market leader in the sector, advising major developers, contractors and government bodies across Australia. With the continued strength of the Queensland construction market, the team has a significant pipeline of work and is continuing to grow. You will be exposed to a broad range of complex construction and regulatory litigation, including matters relating to: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">commercial and residential construction disputes, including statutory insurance claims and defect proceedings;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">regulatory and enforcement matters arising under building and licensing legislation;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">commercial building and development disputes involving contractors, developers and consultants; and</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">insolvency, recovery and enforcement proceedings arising from construction and building matters.</li> </ul> You will work in a supportive and collaborative team, with direct access to partners who are committed to mentoring, developing your litigation skills and supporting your long-term progression. This role is particularly suited to lawyers who want to take ownership of matters, build strong client relationships and position themselves for progression within a growing practice.
