<p><strong>Field Service Engineer</strong><br><strong>Location: Field Based - Northwest Region (Washington)</strong><br> </p> <p><strong>OVERVIEW</strong><br>Provide field service support to Optos customer base. Install, repair, perform preventive maintenance and train customers in the use and care of Optos instrumentation. Support marketing shows when required.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br>• Plan installation of new customer sites by liaising with in-house field support team and conducting a pre-installation conference call with the customer<br>• Provide optimum customer satisfaction on all Optos products and services<br>• Install, repair, perform preventive maintenance, and retrofit Optos instrument products <br>• Support customers on the operational aspects of the instrument, equipment and software<br>• Install and maintain wired computer networks<br>• Complete and submit all Regulatory and company required documentation<br>• Provide remote diagnosis/repair support when needed<br>• Relay field repetitive failures/quality issues to internal support specialists<br>• Ensure that all repair parts are on site when needed and all related CRM transactions are completed thoroughly and in a timely manner<br>• Test repaired instruments in all operating modes per specification<br>• Represent Optos at technical shows and exhibitions as required</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</strong><br>• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education gained through work experiences<br>• Previous field service experience in the medical device industry is a plus<br>• Basic wired and wireless network integration experience <br>• Skilled in instrument operation, test, maintenance, alignment, and repair procedure<br>• Ability to produce high quality work under pressure and within tight timescales<br>• An ability to work within tight deadlines and manage time effectively<br>• Strong team player with flexible attitude to work priorities<br>• Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br>• Good computer skills (MS Office applications)</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>PHYSICAL/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS</strong><br>• Valid driver’s license<br>• Up to 70% travel (Domestic travel and overnight trips which may last several days, potential for international travel)<br>• Ability to lift/lower/carry/push/pull 1-50lbs frequenlty and 50-100lbs occasionally<br>• Manual dexterity of arms, hands, and shoulders to push/pull/grasp equipment/tools.<br>• Ability to work in tight spaces</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <p>At Optos, we offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package.</p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>The base salary range for this position is $60K - $65K.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Equal Opportunities Employer</strong></p> <p>We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, age or protected veteran status.</p> <p>If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience and want to join a great team, please click on the Apply button!</p>
