Position Description <div>The primary purpose of the Depots Team is to provide efficient and reliable support to delivery teams, while maintaining a high standard of security, adhering to established work practices, and ensuring strict operational controls are applied to both indoor and outdoor activities.</div> <div> </div> Key Responsibilities <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">The custody and security of stocks and stores premises</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">The physical movement of stocks in and out of stores</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">The implementation of a wide range of stores procedures and regulations</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">The control of bulk issue materials</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">The operation and use of computer systems, forklifts and stores handling equipment</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Open & close depot daily</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Ensure materials are kept accurate on the stock account</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Maintain housekeeping policy</li> </ul> Experience and Qualifications Essential <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Leaving Certificate or equivalent work experience is essential.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">A working knowledge in the use of Information Technology</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">An appreciation of stores operations</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">An ability to work with all staff groups to provide an effective storekeeping service</li> </ul> Desirable <ul style="margin-bottom:11.0px"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Forklift Licence</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Manual Handling Certificate</li> </ul> Location This position will be based in Portlaoise Depot.
