The GED Construction Commercial &amp; Contracts Group delivers a focused service for projects undertaken within EMP and specialises in: </span></p> </div> <div> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Construction management, </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Contract management,</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Commercial management. </span></li> </ul> </div> <div> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">We are looking for a Senior Site Resident Civil Engineer / Site Manager to join us to become a key member of the team on our journey to a Brighter Future. </span></p> </div> <div> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The Senior Specialist Site Resident Civil Engineer / Site Manager role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of Contractors undertaking civil works contracts on largescale generation projects as it delivers on its Net Zero 2040 strategy. </span></p> </div> <div> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The successful candidate will initially be assigned to a renewable onshore wind project construction site located in northern Scotland for an expected duration of 18 months and thereafter will return to Ireland to work on further largescale generation construction sites, with opportunities including but not limited to Thermal OCGT, Solar Projects and Demolition/Controlled Dismantling of existing Generation Power Station assets. The projects in Ireland are located throughout the country. </span></p> </div> <div> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring project contracts are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, environmental and planning compliance as well as commercial and contract adherence. </strong> </span></p> </div> <div> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: </span></p> </div> <div> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Manage, monitor and supervise all on-site activities of our Contractors, specifically for generation projects construction and/or demolition contracts during enabling works, main construction and commissioning activities. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Administer the Contracts for main Contractors on site, including discharging of delegated responsibilities by the Engineer including corresponding with the Contractor in relation to all site issues.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensure strong compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and planning compliance, with a strong emphasis on the specific challenges of electricity generating power plant construction.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Act as the primary point of contact for the project team, on site for the specified project.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for the overall project team and senior management.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, safety specialists, environmental specialists and other stakeholders to ensure seamless Contract execution.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Undertake Quality Assurance documentation and Site Inspection Test Plan reviews, audits and checks of the civil works on the site throughout the construction period. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively in collaboration with other project team members. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain detailed and accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, inspections, and incident reports.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Support the assessment and resolution of Contractor’s claims and commercial risks. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Support the project team with Third Party Stakeholder Management including Landowners interactions. </span></li> </ul> </div> <div> </div> </div> <div> <div> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Experience and Qualifications </strong></span></p> </div> <div> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Essential </strong></span></p> </div> <div> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent third level qualification in Civil Engineering. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Minimum 7 years’ experience in civil engineering with experience of construction site management for energy infrastructure projects. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong working knowledge of FIDIC Contracts and the administration of Contracts in this form. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Demonstrated experience and ability to delivery civil/structural engineering construction phase projects on time and to the highest professional standards. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Proven track record of being results driven and solution focused in a commercially driven environment. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on one’s own initiative while also collaborating strongly within a team. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial,
