While working on the barge, the unloader will use a ladder to climb walls that reach a height of approximately 6 feet</li> <li>Operate computer programs needed to load/unload barges, trucks and skid steer</li> <li>Hand writes tickets or use Stand Alone Scale Interface (SASI) if computer network goes down</li> <li>Train and operate equipment associated with the Elevator process: including drags, conveyors, and truck dump. Load meal, oil and hull products into barges and trucks. Ensure accurate information of scale weights and transactions are recorded daily</li> <li>Process samples utilizing lab equipment to obtain and record values on a computer spreadsheet and collect and analyze samples for several process areas</li> <li>Obtain Shoreside Attendant Certification for loading oil barges</li> <li>Enter confined spaces under proper permit conditions and supervision: including dust collectors, barges and bean tanks</li> <li>Perform light maintenance, such as replacing valves, troubleshooting conveyors and pumps, etc. while safely using wrenches, air tools, hammers and various hand tools</li> <li>Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental impact of the operation</li> <li>Understand and adhere to state and federal Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations as related to plant safety.
