Job-ID: 16839; Location(s): McPherson KS JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Maintenance and Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring maintenance processes are efficient and effective, equipment is designed and/or modified to improve maintainability and review ongoing technical problems for continual improvement to reduce downtime and increase the life of the asset. What You'll Do: Supervision and Personnel Maintenance <ul> <li style="line-height:normal;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Conducts timely and accurate employee performance evaluations; addresses performance issues as needed.</li> <li style="line-height:normal;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Manages attendance of direct reports including but not limited to tracking hours and monitoring/approving vacation and sick leave.</li> <li style="line-height:normal;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Schedules and assigns work; determines proper staffing levels in order to maintain schedule and keep with demand.</li> </ul> Maintainability of equipment/installations <ul> <li style="line-height:normal;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Develops and maintains a process that influences new construction and equipment purchase(s) to ensure maintainability and reliability of new equipment.</li> <li style="line-height:normal;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Maintain current and future approved components used by suppliers to maintain consistency in equipment and the use of familiar component brands.</li> <li style="line-height:normal;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Identify and setup the necessary spare parts and preventative maintenance plans for equipment to minimize downtime under the consideration of cost and lead times.</li> </ul> Reliability Maintenance <ul> <li style="line-height:normal;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Assist in the creation and modifications of the maintenance programs for effectiveness.
