We’re currently recruiting for a Site Buyer, Procurement, to join our team. We seek a highly motivated and organized individual with experience working in a vendor-facing role supporting a GMP Biotech/pharmaceutical operation to help evolve our Supply Chain & Procurement organization into an audit-ready, partner-enabling, GxP-compliant function. To play a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference. Your responsibilities in this role would be: <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0cm;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers.</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Coordinate purchasing activities with other departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Be a local subject matter expert in the procurement system (SAP) and assist in its implementation.</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Ensure indirect procurement process is followed, and contracts are loaded into Blackbird system.</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; monitor approval of invoices for payment, receipt reconciliation and invoice discrepancies.</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine compatibility with company objectives.</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Develop and maintain productive relationships with critical suppliers to drive value to elevate improved supplier performance, TCO, quality, and service.</li> </ul> <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0cm;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Review opportunities for new supply sources and suitability of materials offered.</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Identify potential supply risks, communicate to management, and support development and execution of risk mitigations as needed.</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Ensure SOX compliance for company, if appropriate.</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Collaborating with production planning and QA to ensure vendors meet timelines and GxP requirements.</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Perform supplier negotiations on one-off purchases that are not covered by an existing contract or sourcing strategy (spot buys).</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, work instructions and training materials.</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm 24.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Establish key stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to interact with all levels within the organization, inclusive but not limited to Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse/Logistics, Operations, Finance, R&D, etc.</li> </ul> We are Looking For: <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0cm;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="text-align:justify;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:24.0px">Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience in Pharma or Biologics Manufacturing/Supply Chain is required, or at least three years of equivalent work experience. </li> <li style="text-align:justify;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:24.0px">Thorough knowledge of Procure to Pay flows. </li> <li style="text-align:justify;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:24.0px">Purchasing experience using an ERP system is required, SAP preferred. </li> <li style="text-align:justify;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:24.0px">Understanding of legal concepts as related to vendor agreement contracts. </li> <li style="text-align:justify;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:24.0px">Understanding of accounting/finance practices. </li> <li style="text-align:justify;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:24.0px">Excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers, and internal business customers, and senior management. </li> <li style="text-align:justify;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:24.0px">Strength in communicating and working effectively with broad stakeholders in </li> </ul> This role does not offer sponsorship for work authorization.
