The position ensures a safe work environment for all employees while maintaining compliance with all International Organization for Standardization (ISO) guidelines, and safety-related legal requirements. </span></p> </div> <div> <p> </p> </div> <div> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">This role is responsible to: </span></p> </div> <div> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt"> </span></p> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">This position is responsible for supervising a team of Health, Safety, and Environmental Representatives. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Ensure health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs comply with company, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), federal, state, and local regulations. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Manage environmental programs. Maintain logs of chemicals used at facility and corresponding safety data sheets (SDS). </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Lead and coordinate environmental systems activities to meet the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) guideline. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Respond to and facilitate investigations for HSE incidents and near misses, assist with identification of root causes, and drive implementation of corrective actions. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Manage position specific safety and health training programs to educate employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Review new machinery, equipment, and plant layout changes to ensure a proactive safety approach. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Monitor occupational health and industrial hygiene activities including air sampling, noise measurements, etc. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Inspect facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures where needed, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Organize ergonomic assessments and job hazard analysis for all areas. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment is available for employees. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> </div> <div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Facilitate visitor/contractor expectations pertaining to plant safety. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Manage internal audits and annual certification programs. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Maintain HSE files and records. Compiles and submits accident and other reports </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">as required by regulatory agencies. </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <p> </p> </div> <div> <p><span style="font-size:24.0pt"> Your Experience & Qualifications </span></p> </div> <div> <p> </p> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, Environmental Health/Science, </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Chemistry, Biology, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">7+ years previous or related experience preferred </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Strong leadership and decision-making skills required, ability to make difficult decisions and set the example for employees </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation delivery </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Ability to manage short and/or long-term projects to successful completion </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Must have broad, basic understanding of federal, state, and local health, safety, </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">and environmental laws and regulations </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Certified safety professional (CSP) and/or certified industrial hygienist (CIH) certifications preferred </span></p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <p> </p> </div> </div> <div> <p> </p> </div> <div> <p><span style="font-size:24.0pt">Our Offering </span></p> </div> <div> <p> </p> </div> <div> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">We will provide a collaborative environment working on exciting assignments, along with ongoing personal & career development opportunities.
