About The Role: This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building structures, owning the full HR lifecycle, and shaping a growing organization in a scale-up environment. Our HR Operations team keeps UMS running—compliant, efficient, and people‑centered. As HR Operations Manager, you are the primary local HR contact for all operational topics. You support employees, managers, and authorities with deep expertise in Dutch labor law and workplace culture. You shape a seamless employee journey from hire to retire and ensure every interaction is professional, accurate, and aligned with global standards. This role is pivotal in building a trusted, high‑performing environment. You report professionally to the Head of HR, Business Unit NewTech, and legally to the Managing Director of UMS. </div> What You'll Do: <div class="entry"> <ul> <li style="">Own and operate the entire employee lifecycle process in compliance with local labor law, across all relevant HR topics such as Recruiting (job postings, applicant tracking, hiring interviews, coordination of hiring decisions, contract creation, contract terms, compensation, onboarding), Performance Management (e.g. Performance review tracking), Development, Learning, Personnel Administration (e.g. employee records, letters), Offboarding (e.g. reference letter), Time tracking & Payroll, etc.</li> <li style="">Act as the first point of contact for employees, managers, works councils/unions, and authorities</li> <li style="">Propose and execute individual HR measures and solutions</li> <li style="">Implement of HR processes, systems, policies and projects locally</li> <li style="">Proactively identify improvement areas and propose solutions</li> <li style="">Drive local talent and performance development initiatives</li> <li style="">Ensure local labor law compliance and payroll accuracy</li> <li style="">Build and operate local health, reintegration, and wellbeing programs</li> <li style="">Coordinate vocational training, apprenticeships, and student programs</li> <li style="">Safeguard HR data quality and deliver local KPI reporting</li> </ul> What You Bring: <ul> <li style="">Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in HR, Business Administration, or a related field</li> <li style="">5+ years of experience in operational HR, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment</li> <li style="">Strong expertise in Dutch labor law, compliance, and employee relations (incl. unions/works councils)</li> <li style="">Independent, hands-on, and proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills</li> <li style="">Proven experience as first-line HR contact for employees, managers, and authorities</li> <li style="">Ability to translate global HR standards into effective, compliant local practices</li> <li style="">Strong focus on HR data quality, reporting, and KPI tracking</li> <li style="">Confident with HR IT systems (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors) and MS Office</li> <li style="">Fluent in Dutch and English; German is a plus</li> <li style="">Experience in a multinational environment is an advantage</li> </ul> Working conditions: <ul> <li style="">Predominantly office based with hybrid options by individual agreement</li> <li style="">Occasional travel (e.g., to Cologne, Germany)</li> <li style="">Full time role (40 hours/week) </li> </ul> What we offer: <ul> <li style="">A meaningful mission with real impact on sustainable mobility</li> <li style="">A dynamic scale up environment within a strong industrial group</li> <li style="">Real ownership and the chance to shape our people experience</li> <li style="">Permanent contact </li> <li style="">Competitive salary package aligned with market standards</li> <li style="">Hybrid work options</li> <li style="">Continuous personal and professional development</li> <li style="">25 vacation days per year and 8% holiday allowance</li> <li style="">Free parking and EV charging at our Oss location </li> </ul> Ready to build the HR foundation of a growing electrification business?
