<p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><strong><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Overall Purpose of Role:</span></strong></p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><strong><u><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"> </span></u></strong></p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Manage a team of engineers and workers in clients’ bases to meet maintenance contract requirements.</span></p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><strong><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Responsibilities:</span></strong></p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <div> <ul> <li>Plan and organize tasks to execute Planned Maintenance Schedule (PMS) and arising corrective maintenance (CM) task</li> <li>Ensure work tasks carried out on time to minimize downtime to meet contractual performance indicators</li> <li>Ensure work tasks are carried out in safe manner and manage risk</li> <li>Manage the well-being of the team to support day-to-day operations</li> <li>Training of the team to ensure team competency to carry out required task</li> <li>Manage spares and materials used in performing the PMS and CM task</li> <li>Liaise with customers on day-to-day issues and provide customer support service</li> <li>Other roles as assigned by VP/Head, Maritime Services</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Diploma or Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering</li> <li>More than 7 years of working experience in marine / mechanical workshop servicing environment, with at least 3 years in managerial position</li> <li>Able to manage a team of up to 7 Assistant Engineers / Engineers and 20 workers</li> <li>Knowledge of marine systems /mechanical /electrical systems /equipment operation</li> <li>Knowledge of ships systems is an added advantage</li> <li>Possess man-management skills such as coaching, supervision and counselling</li> <li>Possess a mindset that is structured, organized and analytical</li> <li>Able to occasionally work on weekends , public holidays, subject to unplanned recalls / activations</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Information:</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Location: Gul Base</li> <li>5 Days work week</li> <li>Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm</li> </ul> </div>
