<p><strong>Responsibilities </strong></p> <p> </p> <p>Productivity:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Deploy and assign projects to his supervisors</li> <li>Set productivity targets for his team</li> <li>Evaluate and assess staff work performance under his charge as per required</li> <li>Assess on-board or in-workshop work progress, verify against reported work progress </li> <li>Plan department manpower projections, and highlights shortfall or spare resources</li> <li>Assess and identify training needs for his subordinates</li> <li>Manage departmental staff recruitment, contract renewal and periodic appraisal</li> <li>Attend Operation meeting</li> <li>Ensure work carried out according to QPM</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Quality:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Manage departmental improvement processes to improve quality of work</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p>Safety:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Monitor and review departmental BBS and hazard reporting program</li> <li>Implement divisional and departmental safety work plan</li> <li>Perform safety audits on departmental safety practices and employees</li> <li>Develop accident prevention program for department</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Develop department’s skill training to meet its skill objectives</li> <li>Attend VSCC meeting (if require)</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Degree in Electrical or Electronic engineering</li> <li>Preferably 5 – 8 years of working experiences in marine industry or similar capacity</li> <li>Good knowledge and exposure of shipbuilding methods and construction</li> <li>Experience in improving department productivity.</li> <li>Knowledge of class and Solas requirement</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Other Information</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Location: Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)</li> <li>5 days work week</li> <li>Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p>
