The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of System Integration Testing (SIT) processes, experience validating data pipelines and transformations, and proficiency in SQL-based testing across multiple layers of a Snowflake-based data ecosystem. The candidate will be responsible for designing test scenarios, creating and executing test cases, validating business rules, documenting test evidence, and ensuring high-quality data delivery across the platform. Key Responsibilities <ul> <li>SIT Planning & Execution</li> <li>Understand business and functional requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.</li> <li>Execute SIT test cases and validate end-to-end data flows across source, transformation, and reporting layers.</li> <li>Identify, log, track, and retest defects through resolution.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to testing standards, execution guidelines, and quality processes.</li> <li>Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and testing evidence for audit and compliance purposes.</li> <li>Data Validation & Quality Assurance</li> <li>Perform data validation across different layers of the data platform, including ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers.</li> <li>Validate complex business rules, data mappings, transformations, aggregations, and calculations.</li> <li>Conduct source-to-target reconciliation and data quality checks.</li> <li>Analyze and troubleshoot data discrepancies in collaboration with development and data engineering teams. </li> </ul> Collaboration & Reporting <ul> <li>Work closely with business analysts, developers, data engineers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.</li> <li>Participate in requirement reviews and test planning discussions.</li> <li>Provide timely status updates on test execution progress, defects, risks, and blockers. </li> </ul> Required Skills & Qualifications <ul> <li>Testing Fundamentals</li> <li>Strong understanding of System Integration Testing (SIT) lifecycle and best practices. </li> </ul> Experience in: <ul> <li>Test scenario creation</li> <li>Test case design and execution</li> <li>Defect management and reporting</li> <li>Test evidence and documentation maintenance</li> <li>Requirement traceability and validation </li> </ul> Technical Skills <ul> <li>Strong hands-on experience with SQL.</li> <li>Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries for data validation and testing.</li> <li>Experience validating data across multiple layers in Snowflake.</li> <li>Experience testing complex business rules and transformation logic.</li> <li>Data Engineering Tools </li> </ul> Working knowledge of: <ul> <li>Snowflake</li> <li>dbt (Data Build Tool)</li> <li>Apache Airflow </li> </ul> Good to Have <ul> <li>Exposure to Fivetran and ingestion pipeline testing.</li> <li>Knowledge of Python for test data validation, data analysis, or automation.</li> <li>Experience with test automation frameworks and automated data validation approaches.</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and modern data engineering practices.</li> </ul> At YASH, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
