Providing a safe, reliable, quality, and cost-effective operation in the CS&M Shop as well as to lead a team of Engineers, Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <ol> <li>To plan and supervise work carried out by the team.</li> <li>To assist SM in meeting the key performance indicators set by Division.</li> <li>To assist SM in planning of work duties.</li> <li>To assist SM in overseeing the dissemination of instructions and procedures issued to team members.</li> <li>To assist SM in conducting engineering analysis and investigations on incidents/accidents.</li> <li>To assist SM in the preparation of Quality Procedures / Risk Assessment / Work Instructions / Work Records.</li> <li>To assist SM in the periodic review of Quality Procedures / Risk Assessment / Work Instructions / Work Records.</li> <li>To assist SM with inputs for the budgeting and expenses of cost centre that belongs to the Section.</li> <li>To assist SM with the management of Tools, Calibration, Support Equipment and Spares procurement.</li> <li>To assist SM with the administrative duties for staff within the team.</li> <li>Responsible for the safety of staff under his charge, conducting toolbox briefing/audits, dissemination of safety and admin messages and staff work in accordance to safety procedures.</li> <li>Exercise safety always; in accordance to established Safety procedures. Responsible for the safety of self and all co-workers, inclusive of contractors.</li> <li>Execute productivity improvement initiatives, efficiency drives and innovations for his team and the Branch through active interaction with staff and external partners</li> <li>Able to participate and complete the technical Skills training provided by SMRT and achieve the necessary qualification to perform maintenance work on SMRT Component Service Centre.</li> <li>Responsible in ensuring workplace order and hygiene.</li> <li>Able to work on a shift roster system (as required) in accordance with the MOM guidelines and the Collective Agreement.</li> <li>Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of the works assigned: e.g. attend to emergency mainline incident, as assigned by supervisor.</li> </ol></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications & Work Experience</b></H2> </div><div><p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p>Qualifications include:</p> <ul> <li>Polytechnic diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Technology / Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Preferably 5 years’ relevant experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment.</li> </ul> <p> </p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Skills</b></H2> </div><div><p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p><strong>Generic skills include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Able to lead and supervise a team</li> <li>Must be self-motivated, resourceful, organized, independent and possess strong interpersonal & communication skills</li> <li>Able to communicate effectively and good team player</li> <li>Able to work independently.</li> <li>Able to work effectively under pressure.</li> <li>Able to work in fast paced environment with changing priorities. </li> </ul></div></div></div>
