.About the role Reporting to the Underground Mining Supervisor, this role will see you operating a twin arm Jumbo to support underground development activities safely and efficiently. You’ll play a key part in achieving production targets across the mining cycle, while maintaining high safety and quality standards on every shift. This is a hands-on role where you will: <ul style="margin-top:0.0cm;margin-bottom:0.0cm" type="disc"> <li style="margin-bottom:4.0pt;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Operate a twin arm Jumbo for underground development drilling</li> <li style="margin-bottom:4.0pt;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Bore development headings to required profiles and specifications</li> <li style="margin-bottom:4.0pt;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Install ground support in line with the Ground Control Management Plan</li> <li style="margin-bottom:4.0pt;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Assist with installation and maintenance of underground services and development activities</li> <li style="margin-bottom:4.0pt;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Work to issued mine plans and maintain effective cross-shift communication</li> <li style="margin-bottom:4.0pt;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Maintain high work quality and ensure all safety controls are followed</li> <li style="margin-bottom:4.0pt;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Identify, report and manage hazards while promoting a strong safety culture</li> <li style="margin-bottom:4.0pt;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Contribute to team performance as a senior member of the underground crew</li> </ul> You’ll also work closely with supervisors, technical services and other stakeholders to keep development progressing safely and efficiently. About you You’re an experienced underground operator with strong Jumbo capability and a solid understanding of underground development practices. You take pride in safe, quality work and contribute positively to team performance on shift. To be successful in this role, you will bring: <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Minimum 7 years’ underground mining experience</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Demonstrated experience operating twin arm Jumbo drills</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Strong understanding of underground development and mine services</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Sound knowledge of safe work practices and JSA systems</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Strong observation skills and attention to detail</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Valid manual driver’s licence</li> </ul> Supervisory or step-up experience will be highly regarded. Most importantly, you are safety-focused, reliable and committed to delivering quality outcomes every shift. This roster is 7:7and a 12 hour day – (Thursday to Thursday).
