<p><strong>Food Trades Assistant – Bakery – Wanaka</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable team member to join our Bakery department and be part of a fast-paced and exciting world of baking.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about food, enjoys working with their hands, and wants to grow their skills in a bakery environment.</p> <p> </p> <p>The ideal candidate will have:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>A genuine interest in baking and food preparation </li> <li>A positive attitude and willingness to learn </li> <li>The ability to work night shifts (5 days per week, 12:00 am – 9:00 am) </li> <li>A good level of English for communication and safety purposes </li> <li>The ability to handle physical work, including lifting up to 20 kg (flour sacks and bakery ingredients) </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Preparing and baking products following recipes and baker instructions </li> <li>Packing, labelling, and presenting fresh bakery products for sale </li> <li>Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality </li> <li>Providing excellent customer service and supporting the wider team when needed </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Apply now:</p> <p> </p> <p>Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, residents, or hold a valid New Zealand open work visa.</p> <p> </p> <p>Sponsorship:</p> <p> </p> <p>As an accredited employer, we may be able to offer sponsorship for this role.
