<p><strong>Grocery Buyer</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>The secret to full shelves is a smart buyer……</p> <p>If you know your baked beans from your spaghetti – and everything it takes to get them on the shelf – we’ve got a role with your name on it.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>About the role: </strong></p> <p> </p> <p>As our Grocery Buyer you will own the aisle - taking full responsibility for purchasing across our Grocery categories using SAP. </p> <p> </p> <p>From supplier to shelf, you’ll ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time. Alongside this, you’ll be responsible for:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Ensuring our customers can get what they want, when they want it</li> <li>Analysing sales, trends, and stock movements to drive smart buying and ranging decisions</li> <li>Monitoring inventory levels – proactively actioning gaps, overstocks and supplier follow-ups</li> <li>Managing in-store promotional activity and ensuring strong execution</li> <li>Working closely with suppliers to secure great deals</li> <li>Supporting the retail operations team – after all, they bring your work to life on the shelf!</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>We’d love you to apply if you have:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Proven experience with large scale buying (FMCG buying experience a bonus) </li> <li>Strong commercial acumen and confidence working with data to make and support decisions</li> <li>Solid computer skills, including Excel (SAP experience is a bonus)</li> <li>Excellent communication skills across all levels </li> <li>High attention to detail, integrity and the ability to think outside the square</li> <li>Understanding of the Grocery Supply Code a bonus</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>This is a senior role and previous experience as a buyer in a large format retail environment is essential.</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Hours: </strong></p> <p> </p> <p>This is a full-time role (42.5 hours per week):</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Sunday – Thursday, including an early start on Monday (5:00am)</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>Final hours will be discussed at the interview stage. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Keen to join our team?</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>If this sounds like your kind of role, apply in-store or online with your CV and cover letter – we’d love to learn a little more about you. </p> <p> </p> <p>Applications close Sunday 19th July 2026.</p>
