<p>POSITION AVAILABLE</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Full-Time Grocery and Storeroom Assistant</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>We are currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic person to join our inwards goods team here at New World Mosgiel as a full-time Grocery and Storeroom Assistant.</p> <p> </p> <p>If you are physically fit, hardworking, have excellent attention to detail and can think on your feet then we would like to meet you. We would prefer someone with experience and a forklift licence however we will provide full training for someone who is keen and suitable for this role.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Hours of work:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Tuesday 5:00am – 2:30pm (Grocery)</li> <li>Wednesday 5:00am – 2:30pm Grocery)</li> <li>Thursday 5:00am – 2:30pm (Grocery)</li> <li>Friday 5:00am – 2:30pm (Grocery)</li> <li>Saturday 7:00am – 4:30pm (Storeroom)</li> <li>45 hours total per week</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>The responsibilities of this role include;</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Unloading and loading of all inwards goods</li> <li>To ensure all inwards goods stock is correctly accounted for and handled with care</li> <li>To ensure the store area is maintained in an organised state to reduce stock handling damages and time</li> <li>To ensure cleanliness of the storeroom is maintained to a high standard</li> <li>Providing excellent customer service and assisting with customer enquiries</li> <li>Shelf filling</li> <li>Date checking and stock rotation</li> <li>Assist with all other duties that form part of the Grocery department</li> <li>Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>You will have the following attributes;</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Exceptional organisational and communication skills</li> <li>Forklift licence – not essential but will be an advantage</li> <li>Full, valid and clean New Zealand Drivers Licence</li> <li>Good physical fitness and the physical capability to meet the demands of the position</li> <li>A good eye for detail</li> <li>Ability to work in a demanding and high-volume environment</li> <li>Flexibility to work various days and time to help cover leave or illness in the team</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>What’s in it for you?</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Permanent full-time role available </li> <li>Engaged and friendly team mates</li> <li>On the job training and support</li> <li>Opportunity to learn new skills</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>The nature of this role can be physical therefore we require someone who is physically fit and has a full, valid and clean New Zealand Drivers Licence.</p> <p> </p> <p>Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not necessary as full training will be given for the right candidate.</p> <p> </p> <p>Applicants must have NZ Citizenship, NZ Permanent Residency or a valid NZ work permit.</p> <p> </p> <p>Applications will be reviewed as they are received, so don't delay in expressing your interest!</p> <p> </p> <p>We are only able to contact short listed candidates due to the high number of applications we receive for advertised roles.</p> <p> </p> <p>Applications close 9pm Sunday 26th July unless the role is filled prior.</p>
