<p><strong>EXPERIENCED BUTCHER REQUIRED </strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>(Full-time – Permanent)</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>ANZSCO 351211</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the Butchery Department in our friendly community Supermarket in Cromwell, Central Otago. Please note that this position is only open to applicants currently living in New Zealand. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Overview of duties/responsibilities:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery maintaining the cold chain.</li> <li>Store meats in chillers or freezers at the required temperature</li> <li>Cut, bone, or grind meat into various cuts</li> <li>Weigh, wrap, and display cuts of meat</li> <li>Be familiar with the safe handling of tools and cutting equipment </li> <li>Cut or prepare meats to specification or customers' orders</li> <li>Presentation of various products in display cabinets</li> <li>Clean equipment and work areas to maintain food safety standards</li> <li>Manage stock rotation</li> <li>Maintain and adhere to workplace safety standards</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Experience and requirements:</strong></p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <ul> <li>A recognised butcher qualification and/or butchery 3 years’ experience</li> <li>Proven track record and a passion for quality</li> <li>Familiar with standards, concepts, practices and procedures within a butchery</li> <li>Understands food safety standards</li> <li>Applicant must be able to work within a team environment</li> <li>Demonstrate sound work ethics</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>This is a 40-hour per week position.
