<p><strong>Inwards Goods / Grocery Assistant - New World Gardens </strong></p> <p> </p> <p>We are looking for someone to join our Inwards Goods Team at New World Gardens with the potential to pick up additional shifts within our Grocery Department.</p> <p> </p> <p>Are you reliable, enjoy being busy, enjoy working within a team environment but equally can work on your own, and enjoy early starts, this could be the job for you.</p> <p> </p> <p>Available shifts: Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays 5.30am-2.00pm & Sundays 5.00am – 1.30pm</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key tasks: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Goods receipting and scanning orders</li> <li>Operating a forklift in a safe and responsible manner </li> <li>Unloading trucks, transferring stock to cages & working through picklists</li> <li>Maintaining records and following Health & Safety guidelines</li> <li>Liaise with Managers and external suppliers regarding stock discrepancies</li> <li>Prevent wastage through storeroom stock rotation & checking dates</li> <li>Help with maintaining a tidy and well-organised storeroom and inward goods area</li> <li>Ensure a safe environment for staff and delivery personnel at all times</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Our ideal person would be able to:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide a high standard of customer service</li> <li>Ideally hold a current Forklift License but will provide training to the right candidate</li> <li>Inward goods and/or storeroom experience</li> <li>Physically fit and heavy lifting experience</li> <li>Reliable, organized and have a can-do attitude </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>New World Gardens promotes growth in our staff, and we offer personal development opportunities.
