The position: Paediatric Registrars (Advanced Trainees, Continuing Basic Trainees and Unaccredited Trainees) – The Royal Children’s Hospital. The RCH is currently recruiting to various roles suitable for advanced trainees, continuing basic trainees and unaccredited trainees. These registrar rosters are comprised of rotations to various departments within RCH and secondment hospitals, to ensure Registrars have the best opportunity to complete their training requirements. Individual roster lines that are available for 2027 will be posted on the VPRAT website early to mid-July 2026. Registrar positions are mostly for 12 months (commencing February 2027), with some 6-month positions also potentially available. All positions are full-time. Job share positions might be available, but limited to select rosters, as not all departments and hospitals can accommodate the flexibility of job share arrangements. Roster lines amenable to job-sharing will be clearly indicated when posted on the website. Positions covered include some of the following; general paediatrics at RCH, Monash Children’s Hospital (MCH) and eight secondment hospitals, adolescent medicine, cardiology, developmental medicine, gastroenterology, rehabilitation, respiratory medicine, neurology/genetics, oncology, , neonatology (RCH), relief (locations vary), paediatric intensive care unit (RCH), psychiatry (at RCH), emergency medicine (at RCH, Sunshine and MCH) and nights (RCH and MCH). Successful applicants will be employed by RCH and may work on rotation in positions at RCH or other accredited adjunct training locations on secondment.
