About the Role: We’re seeking a collaborative, education-focused TDO to help us deliver a consistent, high-quality training and education experience for basic paediatric trainees across Victoria. You’ll work closely with the Consortium Management Team, Directors of Paediatric Education (DPEs) and Medical Education Officers (MEOs) at all sites to coordinate statewide educational offerings and support exam preparation.This position is for part-time, Fixed Term (until 31 December 2027, 0.4-0.6 FTE). Work days include: Monday afternoons and Thursdays (other days are by negotiation and operational requirement). Please be aware: This position is only available to individuals currently employed by a Victorian Public Health Service, and is a Secondment only. The successful applicant will remain employed by their current health service, and will be seconded to the Department of Health for this role. Location is flexible across Victoria (work from your home health service + WFH), with some travel and occasional after-hours commitments. Internally, this position will be known and referred to as: Training Development Officer (TDO) - Victorian Basic Paediatric Training Consortium (VBPTC). Classification for this position is governed by Award 10 - Managers and Administrative Workers at AO5 (plus Superannuation). About VBPTC: Established by the Department of Health in 2021, the VBPTC is Victoria’s sole consortium for basic paediatric training, spanning 2 tertiary, 9 outer-metropolitan and 10 rural hospitals.
