About the Role: This is a permanent, full-time position within the Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD), requiring a qualified Grade 4 Instrument Technician capable of working across all areas of the department without direct supervision. The primary purpose of this position is to work within the Team Leader role and be responsible for the co-ordination and provision of CSSD services to ensure that surgical instruments and equipment are reprocessed in compliance with current industry standards of Re-suable Medical Devices (RMDs), infection prevention control and RCH Policy and procedures. This position requires an Instrument Technician with advanced skills who can work in all areas of CSSD with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. This position will work as a key contact for the Perioperative Suite and Division of Surgery, ensuring safe, sterile, and functional instruments are readily available for surgical procedures. Furthermore, this position will provide essential support by carrying out decontamination, packaging, sterilisation and preparation of critical and semi-critical medical devices in alignment with RCH policy. Internally, this position will be known and referred to as: Instrument Technician - Grade 4. Classification for this position will be governed by Award 04 - Health and Allied Services at IN4 (Instrument Technician Grade 4), $73,502.00 per annum, plus Superannuation. What you'll achieve: <ul> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Performing all CSSD daily activities and duties, including the decontamination, packaging, sterilisation, and preparation of critical and semi-critical medical devices, ensuring a timely delivery of services and products.
