See yourself working here Reporting to the Superintendent, the Metering Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and commissioning of electricity metering systems in domestic, commercial and industrial environments. Your key responsibilities will include: <ul style="margin-top:0.0cm;margin-bottom:0.0cm" type="disc"> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0cm;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Installation, maintenance and testing of Whole Current and Low Voltage Current Transformer metering equipment in accordance with the National Electricity Rules and/or regulations and procedures.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0cm;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Installation, maintenance and problem solving of communications equipment connected to Whole Current and Low Voltage Current Transformer metering installations.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0cm;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Communicates and negotiates with internal and external customers and stakeholders at an intermediate level on matters relating to electricity metering.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0cm;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Assist with the completion of documents and other reporting systems and comply with safety and environmental systems and procedures.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0cm;margin-top:0.0cm;margin-right:0.0cm;line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Deliver assigned tasks and activities in an efficient and cost-effective way.</li> </ul> What you bring to the role Our hiring decisions are not only based on your experience and skills, but your passion, attitude, and alignment to our core values. The successful candidate will hold a Cert III in Electrotechnology coupled with demonstrated experience in low voltage electricity metering systems.
