Manage continuing development and implementation, including current and future phases, maintenance of Faculty Research Series, data reporting and delivery to programs.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Partner with Duke Development offices to develop new initiatives and approaches to support PhD education.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Management of Office of Biomedical Graduate Education (OBGE) PhD Program Administration Personnel (30%)</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Manage direct reports, [OBGE Assistant Directors of Admissions and Finance &amp; Operations, Program Assessment Manager, Database Manager] and perform annual performance evaluations and goal setting.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Partner with the OBGE Associate Director for any management needs of the Assistant Director of PhD Student Success.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provide broad oversight for each OBGE program administrator hub team and assist Assistant Directors, as needed, with annual performance evaluations.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Direct OBGE team members’ ongoing professional development and provide daily operational oversight of team members’ progress. </span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Oversight of SOM PhD program administration, including finances, curriculum, admission, student learning, and program review, including evaluation and assessment processes (15%): </strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Broadly oversee the development and implementation of robust evaluation and assessment processes and systems for curriculum, student learning, programs, and services; provide oversight of program assessment, partner with other units to develop information technology applications and databases.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Broadly oversee admissions application and offer workflow, including organization and logistics of PhD recruitment visits (travel, accommodation, community dinner, communications), in support of the Assistant Director of Admissions</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Broadly oversee PhD program operations and graduate student funding, in support of the Assistant Director of Finance and Operations</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Broadly oversee with the OBGE Associate Director all student resources, workshops, and initiatives, in support of the Assistant Director of PhD Student Success and develop and implement new programs and initiatives to enhance the graduate training experience, recruiting efforts, and training outcomes.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Management and Leadership of networks that steer programming and training </span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Develop and implement community events and working groups for Program Administrators, Directors of Graduate Studies, and Directors.
