Our Role: Reporting to the Mechanical Equipment Engineering Manager. Responsibilities of the engineer performing this role include setting the technical direction for the overall project and acting as a technical interface point to both internal and external customers. The Mechanical Equipment Engineering department largely focuses on the design of mechanical equipment and systems for CANDU reactors. The Mechanical Equipment Engineering group focuses on the design, development and test of mechanical equipment for automated and semi-automated fueling machines, medical isotope systems, robotic systems, and maintenance tooling for nuclear reactors and related systems. This includes but not limited to concept design, detailed design, design calculations, assessments, studies, technical document preparation and manufacturing, test, commissioning, maintenance and operational support.
