This role requires strong technical depth in embedded systems and firmware, combined with exceptional program management capabilities to drive cross-functional execution from concept to production. The ideal candidate will work closely with silicon, firmware, hardware, validation, and product teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality firmware solutions for next-generation wireless connectivity products.</span><strong> </strong></span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><h2>Program Management</h2> <ul> <li>Lead end-to-end <strong>firmware development programs</strong> for wireless ASIC products</li> <li>Define and drive <strong>program plans, milestones, and deliverables</strong> across teams</li> <li>Ensure alignment between <strong>silicon, firmware, hardware, validation, and product teams</strong></li> <li>Track progress, risks, dependencies, and proactively drive mitigation</li> <li>Manage <strong>schedule, scope, and execution quality</strong></li> </ul> <h2> Technical Leadership</h2> <ul> <li>Understand system architecture involving: <ul> <li><strong>Wireless protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, etc.)</strong></li> <li><strong>SoC/ASIC firmware interactions</strong></li> </ul> </li> <li>Work with engineering teams to: <ul> <li>Define <strong>firmware architecture and deliverables</strong></li> <li>Resolve technical trade-offs and dependencies</li> </ul> </li> <li>Drive <strong>bring-up, debugging, and issue resolution</strong> in early silicon phases</li> </ul> <h2>Cross-Functional Coordination</h2> <ul> <li>Act as the central point of contact between: <ul> <li>Firmware</li> <li>FPGA / ASIC design teams</li> <li>Validation / QA</li> <li>Systems / Product teams</li> </ul> </li> <li>Drive <strong>clear communication</strong> of program status to leadership and stakeholders</li> </ul> <h2>Risk &amp; Issue Management</h2> <ul> <li>Identify and manage: <ul> <li>Technical risks (silicon readiness, FW stability, interoperability)</li> <li>Program risks (schedule slips, resource constraints)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Implement <strong>escalation and recovery plans</strong></li> </ul> <h2>Execution &amp; Delivery</h2> <ul> <li>Ensure firmware releases meet: <ul> <li><strong>Quality metrics</strong></li> <li><strong>Performance targets</strong></li> <li><strong>Customer and product requirements</strong></li> </ul> </li> <li>Drive <strong>continuous improvement</strong> in development and release processes</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Required Experience and Skills</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s in <strong>Electronics, Computer Science, or related field</strong></li> <li><strong>8+ years</strong> of experience in: <ul> <li>Embedded systems / firmware development</li> <li>Technical Program Management / Engineering Program Management</li> </ul> </li> <li>Strong understanding of: <ul> <li><strong>Embedded firmware (C/C++)</strong></li> <li><strong>RTOS / bare-metal systems</strong></li> <li><strong>ASIC/SoC development lifecycle</strong></li> </ul> </li> <li>Experience with: <ul> <li><strong>Wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.)</strong></li> <li>Silicon bring-up and debugging</li> </ul> </li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Desired Experience and Skills</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Prior experience in <strong>wireless chipset or semiconductor companies</strong></li> <li>Hands-on exposure to: <ul> <li><strong>Firmware debugging tools (JTAG, logic analyzers)</strong></li> <li><strong>Protocol stacks (BLE, Wi-Fi MAC/PHY interaction)</strong></li> </ul> </li> <li>Familiarity with: <ul> <li>Agile/Hybrid program management</li> <li>CI/CD for firmware releases</li> </ul> </li> <li>Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills</li> </ul> <p>#LI-CB1</p></div></div></div><p>Skyworks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
