We are looking for an experienced individual to facilitate growth in the University’s engagement with industrial and collaborative R&D sources, especially grants from Innovate UK. The post holder will work alongside leading academics and non-academic partners at the cutting edge of their fields, promoting funding opportunities, contributing directly to the preparation of proposals and delivering targeted initiatives to improve participation and success rates. As the funding landscape for collaborative research and innovation with partners outside the university sector continues to evolve, this is an exciting opportunity to play a major role in driving new initiatives to support the University’s ambitious research strategy. A first degree and work experience within a Higher Education and/or research environment are required. Detailed knowledge of collaborative R&D funding schemes is essential, as well as demonstrable experience of drafting and reviewing grant proposals alongside academic and industrial partners.

We offer a generous annual leave package plus discretionary University closure days, excellent training and development opportunities as well as a great occupational pension scheme and a range of health-related support. The University is committed to a hybrid working approach.
