What's in it for you? <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Hourly wages $18.22 /hr</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">We will invest in you, covering the costs of continuing education through GardaWorld Academy</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Hands on training specifically for working in a hospital </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Uniform provided at no cost</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Permanent positions:</li> </ul> 1) MD P3 - Mon to Wed 1500-2300 3) MD P20 - Fri to Sun 1500-2300 (24) 4) MD P21 - Mon to Thu 1500-2300 (32) 5) MD P22 - Sat to Mon 2300-0700 (24) + Fri 1900 -0700 2nd wk 6) SS2 - Thur & Fri 0900- 1700 / MD Sat & Sun 0700-1500 7) SS5 - Sat & Sun 2300-0700 & Tue to Wed 0100-0900 8) SS6 - Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon 0100-0900 9) SS7 - Sat & Sun 2300-0700 Responsibilities for Hospital Security Guard <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Conduct regular patrols to monitor for suspicious activity and maintain the safety and security of hospital facilities.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Control access points and verify identities to ensure only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Operate walk-through and handheld metal detectors to screen patients, visitors, staff, and contractors in accordance with hospital security policies.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provide clear instructions and maintain a respectful, professional approach during security screening.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain a calm presence in a high-stress healthcare environment, including during emergencies or high-volume periods.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Assist with patient safety, including monitoring missing or wandering patients and supporting patient watch duties.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Respond to incidents such as Code White events, fire alarms, aggression, or security threats.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">De-escalate conflicts and intervene when necessary to maintain safety.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Monitor and inspect security equipment including CCTV, panic alarms, and fire safety systems.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate security concerns with hospital staff and supervisors.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Support law enforcement and emergency responders during serious incidents.</li> </ul> Qualifications for Hospital Security Guard <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Legally authorized to work in Canada</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Valid Saskatchewan Security Guard License (or willing to obtain – we can assist with the process)</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Clear criminal background check</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">First Aid/CPR certification considered an asset</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to work independently and remain alert in a dynamic environment</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong communication, conflict resolution, and de-escalation skills</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Comfortable using workplace technology; experience with CCTV systems considered an asset</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment considered an asset</li> </ul>
