About this role

The Estates and Campus Facilities department have a rare opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to join the Campus Development Team. The team has an extensive role in helping to achieve the University’s vision to “have a smaller, high quality, civic campus, that is green, creative, and open”. We are therefore seeking an experienced Programme Manager who can shape ideas into feasibility studies and business cases for the team to take forward, along with management of some projects through to completion. This will require the candidates to be skilled in:

stakeholder consultation and management anticipating and assessing the impact of proposed changes on immediate stakeholders and the wider University community preparation of project budgets for business cases management of projects including budget and programme management preparation of tender documents, including understanding of the Procurement Act management of consultant and contractor teams,

Candidates will be required to be educated to HND level or equivalent in a relevant discipline plus substantial experience operating at a strategic management level and membership of relevant professional body (e.g. RICS, CIOB, APM). A sound knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act, the CDM Regulations and other relevant statutory requirements will be required. Package includes 37 days holiday per year plus bank holidays as well as access to a range of staff discounts. The role will be based in the Estates office on Park Place in Cardiff. This is a full-time, open-ended position, available immediately. Salary: £61,759 per annum, with 3 annual increments up to £67,468 per annum (Grade 8).
