The role
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a veterinary degree and PhD for a full-time post in production animal medicine. The successful applicant will join a team of fellow professionals within Veterinary Clinical Sciences, at the School of Veterinary Medicine, committed to providing excellence in research and teaching for the benefit of a new generation of vets. As part of the start-up package, we are excited to be able to offer (if appropriate) a funded PhD studentship, enabling the right candidate to quickly integrate into the School as they continue to build their research here at Surrey.
In the role you will:
Develop and contribute to high quality research in production animal medicine, veterinary sciences or education, working collaboratively across the Discipline to increase research outputs. Use your skills to support theoretical and practical teaching within the BVMSci programme, particularly in the area of production animal species. Support practical assessment across all years of the programme and contribute to academic administrative duties.
About you

A thorough understanding of basic and applied veterinary sciences. A passion for veterinary sciences and a strong commitment to delivering excellent teaching. Enthusiasm and a willingness to work flexibly and creatively in different contexts are essential, alongside excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Experience of teaching in an educational or professional setting.
