The mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and/or installing parts on delivery vehicles and equipment to ensure their proper operation and safety. Location: 7000 Armand-Viau Street, Quebec City, G2C 2G4 Employment Contract: 40 hours/week Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Salary Range: $34.20 to $44.84 The mechanic will be responsible for the following tasks: <ul> <li>Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on the vehicle fleet;</li> <li>Analyze, diagnose, and repair components, among other tasks;</li> <li>Order parts;</li> <li>Document and update work orders;</li> <li>Comply with standards established by manufacturers and Purolator;</li> <li>Perform any other tasks related to the smooth operation of the workshop.</li> </ul> The mechanic must meet the following qualifications: <ul> <li>Hold a DEP in automotive mechanics and have two years of relevant experience repairing road vehicle mechanisms, or have five years of relevant experience repairing road vehicle mechanisms.</li> <li>Hold a competency card from the joint committee or have 5 years of experience with a letter attesting to their skills for a vehicle fleet</li> <li>Hold a PEP card or a certificate of competency issued by the SAAQ</li> <li>Fluency in French</li> <li>Good physical strength</li> <li>Be responsible and reliable</li> <li>Be able to lift heavy weights, up to 70 lbs, alone</li> <li>Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license</li> <li>Have 3 years of driving experience with a Class 5 license</li> <li>Pass the in-house practical driving test (including defensive driving training tests)</li> <li>Ability to work independently</li> <li>Willingness to learn and improve</li> <li>Basic computer skills</li> </ul> ***The mechanic must provide their own tools <div></div> Language Requirement: There are no language requirements for this position.
