This position is to coordinate and direct the companywide efforts to identify, solve and implement product and reliability improvements in all machines produced in its facilities that are used worldwide.</span></p> <p> </p> <p style="margin:6.0pt 0.0in 0.0in;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Sales: $500M</span></p> <p style="margin:6.0pt 0.0in 0.0in;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Warranty Budget: $20M</span></p> <p style="margin:6.0pt 0.0in 0.0in;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Juhin Count: 20-40</span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>Key Job Responsibilities</b></u></H2> </div><div><ul> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Implement Juhin (serious quality problem) registry and establish goals and completion dates based upon prioritization such as major failures, high dollar expense, and high frequencies.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Review and analyze monthly warranty claim expenses and assign prioritized action plans to respective departments.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Assist in establishing and implementing SQP processes within major supplier organizations and conduct monthly quality improvement meetings, reporting results of goals and action plans.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Analyze TSIs, ETSIs and other field data and provide technical data to all involved areas.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Develop and analyze quality indexes to ensure that Product Quality is within the Company’s requirements and goals. Report the results of these indices to Komatsu corporate office at the assigned time intervals.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Follow department annual capacity and cost plans and implement necessary actions.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Direct and guide the activities of Service, Manufacturing, Engineering, Warranty, Quality Control and Marketing to ensure that action plans are followed and achieved. Indirect supervision of engineering, service and manufacturing personnel, providing direction and prioritization of critical issues relating to product quality, reliability and performance.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Coordinate with Parts and Sales Departments the impact which product resolutions may have on their departments.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Develop QA orders on to the factory for campaign and modification parts.</span></li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>Qualifications/Requirements</b></u></H2> </div><div><ul> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Minimum of a BS degree in Engineering (electrical and/or mechanical). 5 to 7 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and/or service.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Knowledge of construction and mining equipment, Komatsu products preferred.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Working knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance practices and procedures and industry standards.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Persuasive communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of people.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Excellent presentation and writing skills.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Strong working skills with computers (spreadsheets, data bases, etc.)</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Strong analytical skills (economic and analysis).</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Strong organizational skills.</span></li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>Additional Information</b></u></H2> </div><div></div></div></div><p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><u><strong>Hiring Range </strong></u></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $79,280 - $99,100.
