Located in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern, British Columbia, Trail offers outdoor adventure at your fingertips. </p> <p> </p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Role Overview</b></H2> </div><div><p>Teck is looking for an experienced Apprentice, Pipefitter to join our team at our Trail Operations, reporting to the Group Leader</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Key Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures</li> <li>Repair and maintain a wide variety of complex piping systems that are integral to the operation’s activities</li> <li>Perform preventative maintenance and fabrication work</li> <li>Able to work independently or as part of a team</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Completion of Grade 12 (please submit a copy of certificate to application)</li> <li>Completion of a Pipefitter/Plumber Foundation course and/or</li> <li>Currently indentured as a apprentice pipefitter</li> <li>Journeyperson Plumber with transferable hours will also be considered</li> <li>WHMIS certification is an asset</li> <li>Related industrial maintenance experience</li> <li>Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems considered an asset<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>In addition, our Apprentices receive a variety of advantages including:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Financial assistance to help with travel and relocation costs</li> <li>Teck covers the cost of required technical training and schooling for the apprenticeship program, including tuition, mandatory textbooks, and required materials</li> <li>Apprentices also receive salary coverage while attending technical training</li> <li>Apprentices are provided the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside certified Journeypersons</li> <li>Structured on-the-job training is combined with formal technical training to ensure successful completion of the apprenticeship program</li> <li>Ongoing mentorship and performance support throughout the apprenticeship</li> </ul></div></div></div><p> </p> <p><strong>Pay Range:</strong> $36.56-$46.03 /hr</p> <p><em>The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.<br></em></p> <p><strong>Why Teck</strong></p> <p><strong>At Teck, your work matters—to the world, to our communities and to your future.</strong><br>As a leading Canadian resource company, we focus on responsibly providing the metals essential for global development and the energy transition while caring for the people, communities and land that we love.
